LAKES DAY: Sunday Walking to Keswick

On Sunday, 27th May, the Stockton Rambling Club will have four walks in the Derwent Water area of the Lake District. All walks will finish in Keswick {NY 264 235} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Braithwaite {NY 232 236} and will take in Crag Hill, Coledale Hause, Hopegill, and Grisedale Pike. This walk will involve a total ascent of 3400-3800 feet.
 
The B-walk will also commence at Braithwaite and will visit Coledale Hause, Grisedale Pike and Portinscale. This walk will involve a total ascent of 2500 feet.
 
The C-walk will set off from Portinscale {NY 247 236} and will pass through Cat Bells Terrace, Grange and Lodore. This walk will involve a total ascent of 900 feet.
 
The D-walk will take the launch or bus to Grange {NY 250 177} and will return to Keswick via Lodore. This walk will involve a total ascent of 350 feet.
 
This is a Route 2 coach pick-up (Billingham: 8.30 am, Acklam: 8.45 am and Stockton: 9.00 am).
