A-Walking: Low Etherley to Wolsingham

Our three walks on Sunday 7th October were all based in the Weardale area of County Durham. The A-walk set off from Low Etherley; the B-walk commenced at Etherley Moor; and the C-walk began at Sloshes Lane. All of the walks finished at Wolsingham.

The A-walk was led by Jill Johnson (pictured below). Our 15-mile trek involved a picturesque route that took us on a section of the Weardale Way (from Witton-le-Wear to Low Harperley) and across moorland terrain (from Stanhope Lane to Blackburn Lodge via Doctor's Gate).

During today's expedition the weather was very good and the scenery was outstanding. Many thinks to Jill for leading today's walk.
