The A-Walk was led by Jane Thompson (pictured below). There were nine walkers in the group. Jane's route took in a section of the Pennine Way, Ettersgill, Coldberry and Hudes Hope. It covered a distance of 14.9 miles.
From Moor House, we had a good climb over moorland terrain in order to reach the high-ground between Lord's Allotment and Coldberry Grains. We had some spectacular views from here - and during our descent into Hudes Hope. There was lots of evidence of the old lead-mining activity to be seen here.
After crossing Hudeshope Beck, we had an easy 'downhill' trek, in a southerly direction, following the route of the beck, to the end of the walk in Middleton-in-Teesdale.
