Sunday Walking to Housesteads

On Sunday, 17th August, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Hadrian's Wall area of Northumberland. All walks will finish in Housesteads {NY 793 684} - see the following maps.

The A-walk will start at Housteads and will take in the Roman Wall to Turret 42B, Benks Hill, Edges Green, West Stonefields and a section of the Pennine Way - south to Turret 37A.
 
The B-walk will commence at Greenhead {NY 659 653} and will visit the Roman Wall, Cawfields, Wealside, West & East Stonefolds and a section of the Pennine Way.
 
The C-walk will set off from Shield on the Wall {NY 729 663} and will pass through Caw Gap, Gibbs Hill, West & East Stonefolds and a section of the Pennine Way.
 
This is a Route 3 coach pick-up (Acklam: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Billingham: 9.30 am).
