Lakes Day: Sunday Walking to Grasmere

On Sunday, 30th September, the Stockton Rambling Club will have four walks in the Grasmere area of the eastern region of the Lake District. All walks will finish in Grasmere {NY 337 073} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Thirlmere {NY 315 170} and will take in Helvellyn, Grisedale Tarn, Fairfield and Stone Arthur. This walk will entail a total climb of 3600 feet.
 
The B-walk will commence at Wythburn {NY 324 129} and will visit Greenup Edge, High Raise Sergeant Man and Easdale. This walk will entail a total climb of 2000 feet.
 
The C-walk will set off from Grasmere {NY 337 073} and will follow a circular route that will pass through Silver Howe, Red Bank, Loughrigg Terrace and Rydal. This walk will entail a total climb of 1500 feet.
 
The D-walk will also set off from Grasmere and will follow a circular route through Easdale Valley.
 
This is a Route 2 coach pick-up (Billingham: 8:30 am, Acklam: 8:45 am and Stockton: 9:00 am).
