A-Walking in Lancashire
The Stockton Rambling Club 2012 Autumn Weekend was held on the 12-14th October in West Lancashire. The Best Western Premier Hotel in Leyland was used as our 'base-camp'. From here we travelled to the Scorton area (on Saturday) and the Rivington area (on Sunday). Three circular walks took place (A, B and C) on each of these days.
The Sunday A-walk from Rivington Country Park was led by Bill McTimoney. His 13-mile route took in the following locations: Rivington Pike, Crooked Edge Hill, Winter Hill, Hordern Stoops, Redmonds Edge, Great Hill, Wheelton Moor, White Coppice, Anglezarke Reservoir and the Upper- and Lower-Rivington Reservoirs.
A small selection of the photograghs that we took during the above walks can be seen by clicking on the pink buttons below.
