LAKES DAY: Sunday Walking to Grasmere

On Sunday, 15th September, the Stockton Rambling Club will have four walks in the South-Eastern area of the Lake District. All walks will finish in Grasmere {NY 337 076} - see the following maps.

The A-walk will start at Thirlmere {NY 315 194} and will take in Helvellyn, Grisedale Tarn, Fairfield and Stone Arthur. This walk will cover a distance of 9 miles and will involve 3600 feet of ascent.
 
The B-walk will commence at Wythburn {NY 325 129} and will visit Greenup Edge, High Raise, Sargeant Man and Easdale. This walk will cover a distance of 9 miles and will involve 2000 feet of ascent.
 
The C-walk will set off from Grasmere {NY 337 076} and will follow a circular route that takes in Silver Howe, Red Bank, Loughrigg Terrace and Rydal. This walk will cover a distance of 8 miles and will involve 1500 feet of ascent.
 
Malcolm and Marjorie will arrange a DF-walk.
 
This is a Route 2 coach pick-up and is also an early start (Billingham: 9.00 am, Acklam: 9.15 am and Stockton: 9.30 am).

The cost of this event is £10 and must be pre-booked.
