Sunday Walking to Haltwhistle

On Sunday, 27th June, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the River South Tyne area of Cumbria and Northumberland. All walks will finish in Haltwhistle {NY 705 638} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Alston {NY 717 463} and will take in a section of the Pennine Way, Low Burnfoot, Wydon Eals and Wydon.

The B-walk will commence at Castle Nook {NY 695 490} and will visit part of the Pennine Way, Parsons Shield and Featherstone Castle.

The C-walk will set off from Slaggyford {NY 677 524} and will pass through The Bog, Castle Hill, Featherstone Castle and Wydon.

This is a Route 3 coach pick up (Acklam: 9.30 am, Stockton: 9.45 am and Billingham: 10.00 am).
