A-Walking: Ingleby Cross to Sutton Bank

Our three walks on Sunday, 9th March each took place in the north-western region of the North York Moors. The A-Walk set off from Ingleby Greenhow, the B-Walk commenced at Osmotherley and the C-Walk started at Knayton. All walks finished at the North York Moors Visitor Centre at Sutton Bank

The A-walk was led by John Begley (pictured below). There were seven walkers in the group. The distance covered was 15 miles.

From our drop-off point in Ingleby Cross our route took us to Tire Bank, Osmotherley, Thimbleby, Over Silton, Nether Silton and Kepwick - where we stopped for a short lunch break. Following this, we made our way up Gallow Hill to join the Cleveland Way. We then followed this path in a southerly direction to reach Sutton Bank.

Many thanks to John Begley for an excellent day out on the North York Moors.
