Early-August Mid-Week Walking (2014-08-04)

During the week beginning 4th August, Stockton Rambling Club will have TWO mid-week walks available. One is an evening walk and the other is a day walk.
 


The evening walk is on Wednesday, 6th August and will start at 7.00 pm from the visitor's car park at Hardwick Hall Country Park {NZ 346 288} - see the map below.

Sunday Walking to Dufton

On Sunday, 3rd August, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Teesdale area of County Durham. All walks will finish in Dufton {NY 690 250} - see the following maps.

The A-walk will start from the High Force Hotel {NY 885 286} and will take in a section of the Pennine Way that includes High Force, Cauldron Snout and High Cup Nick.
 
The B-walk will commence at Langdon Beck YHA {NY 859 303} and will visit a section of the Pennine Way that includes Cauldron Snout and High Cup Nick
 
The C-walk will set off from Cow Green {NY 816 308} and will then head south to Cauldron Snout and then follow the Pennine Way to High Cup Nick and Dufton.
 
This is a Route 2 coach pick-up (Billingham: 9.00 am, Acklam: 9.15 am and Stockton: 9.30 am).

Mid-July Mid-Week Walking (2014-07-21)

During the week beginning 21st July, Stockton Rambling Club will have TWO mid-week events available. One is a guided tour and optional walk and the other is an evening walk.
 


The guided tour and optional walk is on Wednesday, 23rd July and will take the form of a guided tour of Helmsley Walled Garden followed by an optional walk. The cost of the garden tour is £5.50.

The A-walk will start at Downholme Bridge {SE 114 992} and will take in Grinton, Heights of Greets, Apedale and Whitaside.
 
The B-walk will commence at Grinton {SE 046 984} and will visit Heights of Greets, Dent's Houses, Apedale and High Whitaside.
 
The C-walk will set off from Reeth and will follow a circular route that takes in Castle Farm, Arkle Town, Foregill, Surrender Bridge and Barney Beck.
