Sunday Walking to Slapewath

On Sunday, 4th December, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Guisborough area of the North York Moors. All walks will finish in Slapewath {NZ 642 158} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Ormesby Bank {NZ 541 158} and will take in Eston Nab, Newton Wood and Gribdale Terrace.
 
The B-walk will also commence at Ormesby Bank and will visit Eston Nab, Mount House and Hutton Hall.
 
The C-walk will set off from the Cross Keys hostelry {NZ 567 157} and will pass through Mount House, a section of the Cleveland Way and the Tees Link.
 
This is a Route 1 coach pick-up (Billingham: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Acklam: 9.30 am).
 
Note: Following the walks there will be a meal in the carvery at the Fox and Hounds hostelry in Slapewath. This event costs £15-00 (inclusive of meal and coach fare) and must be pre-booked. Information and bookings: 01642-586643.

On Sunday, 27th November, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Croxdale area of County Durham. All walks will finish in Durham City {NZ 275 430} - see the following maps.

The A-walk will start at Bishop Auckland {NZ 208 300} and will follow the route of the Weardale Way to Durham City.
 
The B-walk will also commence at Bishop Auckland and will visit Whitworth Hall and Sunderland Bridge. It will then follow the Weardale Way to Durham City.
 
The C-walk will set off from Thinford {NZ 283 346} and will pass through Tudhoe, Croxdale and Sunderland Bridge. It will then follow the route of the Weardale Way to Durham City.
 
This is a Route 3 coach pick-up (Acklam: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Billingham: 9.30 am).
