Sunday Walking to Grasmere - LAKES DAY

On Sunday, 8th September, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the South-Eastern area of the Lake District. All walks will finish in Grasmere {NY336.075} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Thirlmere {NY315.169} and will take in Helvellyn, Grisedale Tarn and Fairfield.
 
The B-walk will commence at Wythburn {NY324.134} and will visit High Raise, Sergeant Man, Blea Rigg and Silver How.
 
The C-walk will set off from Grasmere and will follow a circular route that passes through Allan Bank, Silver Howe, Loughrigg Terrace and Rydal.
 
This is a Route 2 coach pick-up and is also an EARLY START (Billingham: 8.30 am, Acklam: 8.45 am and Stockton: 9.00 am).

Sunday Walking to Ravenscar

The A-walk will start at Hawsker {NZ925.077} and will take in Normanby, Shooting House Rigg, Brown Hill and Stoney Marl Moor.
 
The B-walk will also commence at Hawsker and will visit Normanby, John Bonds Sheep House and Jugger Howe.
 
The C-walk will set off from Whitby {NZ896.108} and will pass through Larpool Hall, Rigg Mill, Low Hawsker, Normanby and Fylingthorpe.
 
This is a Route 1 coach pick-up (Billingham: 9.00 am and Stockton: 9.15 am) NOTE: There is NO Acklam pickup today - due to the road race.

Late-August Mid-Week Walking (2019-08-26)

During the week beginning 26th August, Stockton Rambling Club will have TWO mid-week events available. One is an evening walk and meal and the other is a day walk.
 


The evening walk is on Monday, 26th August and will start at 5.00 pm from Skinningrove Mining Museum TS13 4AP, {NZ711.193} - see the map below. Following the walk there is an optional meal at Kaskane Cafe & Covells Bar. Please book for the meal.
