Early-August Mid-Week Walking (2015-08-03)

During the week beginning 3rd August, Stockton Rambling Club will have TWO mid-week walks available. One is an evening walk and the other is a day walk.
 


The evening walk is on Wednesday, 5th August and will start at 7.00 pm from Pinchinthorpe Visitor Centre {NZ 584 152} - see the map below.

Sunday Walking to Middleton-in-Teesdale

On Sunday, 2nd August, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Teesdale area of County Durham region. All walks will finish in Middleton-in-Teesdale {NY 948 254} - see the following maps.

The A-walk will start at Cow Green Reservoir {NY 811 308} and will take in Cauldron Snout, Cronkley, Holwick and Crooks o' Green Fell.
 
The B-walk will commence at Langdon Beck {NY 853 312} and will visit Sayer Hill, Cronkley, Holwick and Crooks o' Green Fell.
 
The C-walk will set off from Langdon Beck Youth Hostel {NY 860 304} and will pass through Cronkley, High Force, Low Force and a section of the Pennine Way.
 
This is a Route 2 coach pick-up (Billingham: 9.00 am, Acklam: 9.15 am and Stockton: 9.30 am).

SPECIAL EVENT: Open Air Charity Ceilidh

On Saturday, 1st August, Stockton Rambling Club has a special event organised. This will take the form of an open-air Charity Ceilidh. It will take place at Preston Park Bandstand Garden . The event starts at 6:00pm and costs £5-00.

Sunday Walking to the Hole of Horcum

The A-walk will start at Eller Beck Bridge {SE 858 983} and will take in Simon Howe, Farwath and Bride Stones.
 
The B-walk will commence at the Hole of Horcum car park and will follow a circular route that visits Levisham Bottoms, Farwath and Bride Stones.
 
The C-walk will also follow a circular route that passes through Levisham, Bride Stones and Old Wives Way.
