Sunday Walking to Saltburn

On Sunday, 2nd November, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the North-Eastern region of the North York Moors. All walks will finish in Saltburn {NZ 666 213} - see the following maps.

The A-walk will start at Scaling {NZ 744 128} and will take in Stange Howe, Newton Brow, Newton Mulgrave and Dalehouse.
 
The B-walk will commence at Ellerby Moor {NZ 790 137} and will visit Newton Bank, The Dales, Seaton Hall, Staithes and a section of the Cleveland Way.
 
The C-walk will set off from Red House Farm (west of Staithes){NZ 768 185} and will then pass along the Cleveland Way.
 
This is a Route 1 coach pick-up (Billingham: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Acklam: 9.30 am).

DAY 1 Walk Details

On Saturday, 11th October, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Irton area. All walks will finish at Santon Bridge {NY 110 016} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Santon Bridge {NY 110 016} and will take in Irton Pike, Miterdale, Siney Tarn, Blea Tarn and Stanley Force. This walk will involve a distance of 15 miles and 2700 feet of climbing.
 
The B-walk will also commence at Santon Bridge and will visit Miterdale, Siney Tarn, Blea Tarn, Bankfoot and Irton Road station. This walk will involve a distance of 12.5 miles and 1700 feet of climbing.
 
The C-walk will set off from Ravenglass {SD 085 965} and will pass through Fell Lane, Muncaster Fell, Rabbit How and Irton Road. This walk will involve a distance of 9 miles and 1200 feet of climbing.

The A-walk will start at Ennerdale Bridge NY 070 159 and will take in Anglers Crag, Revelin Crag, Crag Fell and Lank Rigg. This walk will involve a distance of 12.5 miles and 2600 feet of climbing.
 
The B-walk will also commence at Ennerdale Bridge and will visit Salter Hall, Kirkland, Gavel Fell, White Oak and Gill Beck. This walk will involve a distance of 11.5 miles and 1700 feet of climbing.
 
The C-walk will set off from the hotel in Cleator Moor {NY 017 137} and will pass through Blackhow Bridge, Egremont, Dike Nook and Nannycatch Beck. This walk will involve a distance of 9 miles and 1100 feet of climbing.
