Early-May Mid-Week Walking (2014-05-04)

During the week beginning 4th May, Stockton Rambling Club will have TWO mid-week walks available. One is an evening walk and the other is a day walk.
 


The evening walk is on Wednesday, 6th May and will start at 7.00 pm from Hemlington Recreation Centre, off Cass House Road, {NZ 489 141} - see the map below.

Sunday Walking to Gunnerside

On Sunday, 3rd May, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Swaledale area of North Yorkshire. All walks will start in Reeth {SE 038 993} and finish in Gunnerside {SD 951 981} - see the following map.

The A-walk will take in Whaw, LIttle Punchard, Botcher Gill and Jingle Pot Edge.
 
The B-walk will visit Langthwaite, Fore Gill, Great Pinseat, Old Gang Mines and Gunnerside Gill.
 
The C-walk will pass through Healaugh, Low Cringley, Fore Gill Gate and Surrender Bridge.
 
This is a Route 2 coach pick-up (Billingham: 9.00 am, Acklam: 9.15 am and Stockton: 9.30 am).

Late-April Mid-Week Walking (2015-04-29)

During the week beginning 27th April, Stockton Rambling Club will have THREE mid-week events available. The first is a dawn-chorus walk, the second is an evening walk and the third is a day walk.
 



The first event, the dawn-chorus walk will take place on Wednesday, 29th April. It will start at 5.00 am from Stillington Community Centre {NZ 376 236} - see the map below.

Sunday Walking to Allenheads

On Sunday, 26th April, the Stockton Rambling Club will have two walks in the Weardale area of County Durham (there is no A-Walk today). Both walks will finish in Allenheads {NY 860 453} - see the following map.

The B-walk will commence at Daddry Shield {NY 894 379} and will visit Wearhead, Cowshill, Wellhope and Carrier's Way.
 
The C-walk will set off from Allenheads and will follow a circular route that takes in Eastend Burn, High Haddock Stones and Spartylea.
