Early-June Mid-Week Walking (2015-06-01)

During the week beginning 1st June, Stockton Rambling Club will have TWO mid-week walks available. One is an evening walk and the other is a day walk.
 


The evening walk is on Wednesday, 3rd June and will start at 7.00 pm from The Sutton Arms in Faceby {NZ 496 031} - see the map below.

Sunday Walking from/to Haltwhistle

On Sunday, 31st May, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Hadrian's Wall area of Northumberland. All walks will start and finish in Haltwhistle {NY 704 638} - see the following map.

The A-walk will take in Haltwhistle Burn, Broomshaw, Lees Hall and Holmhead.
 
The B-walk will visit Woodhead Lane, Hardriggs, Roman Wall and Greenhead.
 
The C-walk will pass through Wydon, Featherstone Castle, Lynneshield and Broomhouse.
 
This is a Route 3 coach pick-up (Acklam: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Billingham: 9.30 am).

Sunday Walking to Castleton

On Sunday, 24th May, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the North-Eastern area of the North York Moors. All walks will finish in Castleton {NZ 680 077} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Scaling Dam {NZ 755 128} and will take in Danby Beacon, Hart Leap, Trough House and Wolf Pit.
 
The B-walk will commence at Stonegate {NZ 774 089} and will visit High Leas, Glaisdale Rigg, Trough House and Wolf Pit.
 
The C-walk will set off from Lealholm {NZ 762 077} and will pass through Elm Ridge, Houlsyke, Forester's Lodge and Crossley Side.

DAY 1 Details (Saturday walks)

The B-walk will commence at Wark {NY 860 770} and will follow a circular route that will visit High Carry House, Countesspark Wood, Redesmouth and Buteland.
 
The C-walk will also set off from Wark and will pass through High Carry House, Countesspark Wood, Redesmouth and Buteland.
