Early-November Mid-Week Walking (2015-11-05)

Sunday Walking to Bishop Auckland

On Sunday, 1st November, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Weardale area of County Durham. All walks will finish in Bishop Auckland {NZ 210 301} - see the following maps.

The A-walk will start at Frosterley {NZ 035 369} and will take in West Biggins, Rushy Lee, Harperley and Escomb.
 
The B-walk will commence at Wolsingham {NZ 076 372} and will visit Braken Hill, Low Harperley and Escomb.
 
The C-walk will set off from Eels Bridge {NZ 115 356} and will pass through a section of the Weardale Way, Witton-le-Wear and Escomb.
 
This is a Route 3 coach pick-up (Acklam: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Billingham: 9.30 am).

Sunday Walking to Castleton

On Sunday, 25th October, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the North-Western area of the North York Moors. All walks will finish in Castleton {NZ 685 080} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Brown Hill {NZ 672 115} and will take in Hob on the Hill, Highcliffe Nab, Kildale Moor and Dale View.
 
The B-walk will commence at Castleton and will follow a circular route that visits Stormy Hall, Fale Head, Fryup Gill and Danby Castle.
 
The C-walk will set off from the Lion Inn {SE 679 996} and will pass through Esklets, Wood End, Dale View and Carr House.
