Early-April Mid-Week Walking (2017-04-06)

On Thursday, 6th April, Stockton Rambling Club has a mid-week walk in the East Witton area of North Yorkshire. Please meet at 10.30 am at the tea rooms car park at Jervaulx Abbey {SE168.856} - see the following map. Note: Jervaulx Abbey lies on the A6108 between Middleham and Masham; the post-code is HG4 4PH.

Sunday Walking to Whitby

On Sunday, 2nd April, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the North-Eastern region of the North York Moors. All walks will finish in Whitby {NZ892.113} - see the following maps.

The A-walk will start at Sneaton Corner {NZ916.037} and will take in Long Hill, Billira Cottage, Fyling Old Hall, Mark Lane and a section of the Cleveland Way.
 
The B-walk will commence at Jugger Howes {NZ945.002} and will visit Stoney Marl Moor, Ravenscar and a section of the Cleveland Way.
 
The C-walk will set off from Hawsker {NZ924.077} and will pass through Brow Top, Robin Hood's Bay and a section of the Cleveland Way.
 
This is a Route 1 coach pick-up (Billingham: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Acklam: 9.30 am).

The A-walk will start at Richmond {NZ 167 010} and will take in Low Moor, Willance's Leap, Marske, Cordilleras Lane and Byers Hill.
 
The B-walk will commence at Round Howe {NZ 156 009} and will visit Applegarth, Marske, Arndale Hole, How Tallon and Badger Way.
 
The C-walk will also set off from Round Howe and will pass through Coalsgarth Edge, Gayles, Dalton Wastes and Twelve Score Flat.

The A-walk will take in Esk House, Spring House, Burton Howe and Great Hograh Moor.
 
The B-walk will follow a section of the Esk Valley Walk, and then visit Westerdale, Dale Head and Stormy Hall.
 
The C-walk will also follow a section of the Esk Valley Walk and will then pass through New House Farm, John Brekon Road and Carr House.

The A-walk will start at Ox Bank {SE 432 926} and will take in The Nab, Sun Bank, Dale Head and Swainby Shooting Hut.
 
The B-walk will commence at Swainby and will follow a circular route that visits The Bank, Thimbleby, Big Wood, Chequers, Sheepwash and a section of the Cleveland Way.
 
The C-walk will also set off from Ox Bank and will pass through Over Silton, Square Corner, High Lane, Sheepwash and a section of the Cleveland Way.
