Early July Mid-Week Walking (2019-07-01)

During the week beginning 1st July, Stockton Rambling Club will have TWO mid-week walks available. One is an evening walk and the other is a day walk.
 


The evening walk is on Wednesday, 3rd July and will start at 7.00 pm from the car park on the road between Clay Bank and Ingleby Greenhow {NZ578.038} - see the map below.

Sunday Walking to Goathland

On Sunday, 30th June, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the South-Eastern area of the North York Moors. All walks will finish in Goathland {NY834.012} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at the Hole of Horcum {SE852.937} and will take in Lilla Cross, Littlebeck and Lowther's Crag.
 
The B-walk will also commence at the Hole of Horcum and will visit Lilla Cross, Ellerbeck Bridge and Simon Howe.
 
The C-walk will set off from the A169 road at {NZ855.026} along Whinstone Ridge and will then proceed to Lilla Cross, Ellerbeck Bridge and Simon Howe.
 
A D-walk will also be available.
 
This is a Route 1 coach pick-up (Billingham: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Acklam: 9.30 am).
 
Note: after the walks there will be a one-course meal available at Inn on the Moor. Advanced booking is required for this event which will cost £17-00. Bookings and payment should be made to Colin Edwards or any committee member.

The B-walk will commence at Hanging Shaw {NY863.299} and will visit Cronkley, High Force, Low Force and Revelin Allotment.
 
The C-walk will set off from Langdon Beck {NY853.312} and will pass through Cronkley, a section of the Pennine Way, High Force, Low Force, and another section of the Pennine Way.

The A-walk will start at Gerrick Moor {NZ705.119} and will take in Siss Cross, Danby Rigg and Trough House.
 
The B-walk will commence at Scaling Dam {NZ754.128} and will visit Roxby High Moor, Houlsyke and Delves.
 
The C-walk will set off from Egton Bridge and follow a circular route that will pass through Carr Wood, Lealholm, Carr End and Blue Beck Cottage.
