Sunday Walking to Wolsingham

On Sunday, 2nd October, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Weardale area of County Durham. All walks will finish in Wolsingham {NZ 075 372} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Hamsterley {NZ 120 310} and will take in Bedburn Old Hall, Neighbour Moor and Brown Law.

The B-walk will also commence at Hamsterley and will visit Howlee Bridge, Doctor's Gate and Towdy Potts.

The C-walk will set off from High Etherley {NZ 164 281} and will pass through Park House, Shipley Moss and Bradley Cottage.

This is a Route 3 coach pick up (Acklam: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Billingham: 9.30 am).

LAKES DAY: Sunday Walking to Glenridding

On Sunday, 25th September, the Stockton Rambling Club will have four walks in the north-eastern area of the Lake District. All walks will finish in Glenridding {NY 386 171} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Dockray {NY 392 215} and will take in Stybarrow Dodd, Watson's Dodd and Raise.

The B-walk will also commence at Dockray and will visit Matterdale Common, Great Dodd and Sticks Pass.

The C-walk will set off from Aira {NY 397 205} and will pass through Dockray, Swineside Knott, and Glencoyne Head.

The D-walk will follow a circular route from Glenridding and will take in Lanty's Tarn.

This is a Route 2 coach pick up and is also an early start (Billingham: 8.30 am, Acklam: 8.45 am and Stockton: 9.00 am).
