Sunday Walking to Pickering

On Sunday, 5th October, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Levisham area of the North York Moors. All walks will finish in Pickering {SE 796 840} - see the following maps.

The A-walk will start at Eller Beck Bridge {SE 858 983} and will take in Simon Howe, Wardle Rigg, Needle POint, Levisham Station and Haugh Rigg.
 
The B-walk will commence at the Hole of Horcum {SE 849 940} and will visit Levisham, Farwath, Haugh Rigg Road and Haugh Road.
 
The C-walk will also set off from the Hole of Horcum and will pass through Low Horcum, Dundale Friff and Levisham Station.
 
This is a Route 1 coach pick-up (Billingham: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Acklam: 9.30 am).

Sunday Walking to Rothbury

On Sunday, 28th September, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Coquetdale area of Northumberland. All walks will start at Weldon Bridge {NZ 137 985} and finish in Rothbury {NU 057 015} - see the following map.

The C-walk will pass through Longhaugh, Lordenshaw. Garleigh Moor and Whittondean.

SPECIAL EVENT: Evening Trip to Sunderland Dogs

On Friday, 26th September, Stockton Rambling Club has a special event organised. This will take the form of an evening visit to Sunderland Dogs.
 
The cost of this trip is £10-00 and includes the coach fare, 'pie and peas' and one free drink.

LAKES DAY: Sunday Walking to Grasmere

On Sunday, 14th September, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the eastern region of the Lake District. All walks will finish in Grasmere {NY 336 074} - see the following maps.

The A-walk will start at Thirlmere {NY 315 169} and will take in Helvellyn, Dollywagon Pike, Fairfield and Great Rigg. This walk will involve a distance of 9 miles and 3600 feet of climbing.
 
The B-walk will commence at Wythburn {NY 320 129} and will visit Wyth Burn, High Raise, Sergeant Man, Blea Tarn and Easdale. This walk will involve a distance of 9 miles and 2000 feet of climbing.
 
The C-walk will set off from Grasmere and will follow a circular route that passes through Silver Howe, Loughrigg Terrace, Rydal and Dove Cottage. This walk will involve a distance of 7.5 miles and 1500 feet of climbing.
 
This is a Route 2 coach pick-up and is also an early start (Billingham: 8.30 am, Acklam: 8.45 am and Stockton: 9.00 am).

Sunday Walking to Hawes

On Sunday, 7th September, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Wensleydale area of North Yorkshire. All walks will finish in Hawes {SD 875 898} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Bainbridge {SD 933 902} and will take in Semer Water, Marsett, Bardale Head, Kidhow Gate and Gayle.
 
The B-walk will commence at Hawes and will follow a circular route that visits Gayle, Wether Hill, Cam High Road, Kidhow Gate and a section of the Pennine Way.
 
The C-walk will also set off from Bainbridge and will pass through Askrigg, Whitfield Gill, Skell Gill, Litherskew and Sedbusk.
