Sunday Walking to Chop Gate

On Sunday, 27th November, the Stockton Rambling Club will have three walks in the Bilsdale area of the North York Moors. All walks will finish in Chop Gate {SE 559 993} - see the following map.

The A-walk will start at Ingleby Greenhow {NZ 582 063} and will take in Baysdale, Hograh Moor and Round Hill.

The B-walk will also commence at Ingleby Greenhow and will visit Baysdale Bloworth Crossing and Round Hill.

The C-walk will set off from Chop Gate {SE 559 993} and will follow a circular route that will pass through Raisdale Mill, Lord Stones and Cock Howe.

This is a Route 1 coach pick up and is also an early start (Billingham: 9.00 am, Stockton: 9.15 am and Acklam: 9.30 am).

The A-walk will start at Newgate Bank {SE 564 888} and will take in Carr Cote Ridge, Fangdale Beck and Carlton Bank.

The B-walk will also commence at Newgate Bank and will visit Shaken Bridge, Dale Town and Cock Howe.

The C-walk will set off from Fangdale Beck {SE 572 946} and will pass through Wetherhouse Moor, Meggy Mire and Raisdale Mill.

This is a Route 1 coach pick up (Billingham: 9.30 am, Stockton: 9.45 am and Acklam: 10.00 am).

After the walks, tea and scones will be available in the Village Hall at Chop Gate.

The C-walk will set off from Chop Gate {SE 559 993} and will follow a circular route that passes through Three Howes, Hasty Bank, Clay Bank and Urra.

The A-walk will start at Ingleby Greenhow {NZ 582 063} and will
take in Bank Foot, part of the Cleveland Way, Beak Hills and Brian's Pond.

The B-walk will also commence at Ingleby Greenhow and will visit the Incline, part of the Cleveland Way, Clay Bank and Garfitt Gap.

The C-walk will set off from Clay Bank
{NZ 572 035} and will pass through Urra, Beacon Guest and Oak House Farm.

After the walks, tea and scones will be served in the Village Hall.
